Teamwork

March 11th, 2009

Isn’t it amazing how as soon as you start to work with the right person or people, things start to happen so much faster, and with so much more ease, than they ever did when you are trying to go solo?

I know this is a lesson I keep telling myself I need to learn, and I have been making a concious effort to practice it, but often I am still not good at it.

This past couple of weeks though have truely shown me the benefits of putting the theory into practice.

The concept and idea for Wealth Strategies for Women is something that has been swirling around in my head for over a year, but hadn’t materialised - I think it just felt too big and as a result I kept telling myself it was something I was going to do.

Then a few short weeks ago I shared the idea and concept with my friend (and now business partner) Edwina, she loved it and asked why it wasn’t a reality!!

Great question eh?

Anyway, I rose to her challenge.

I realised that if my “baby” was ever going to be born, and grow and develop, and make the impact on women’s lives that I knew it could, I needed help delivering it.

Since then, the new company has been formed, we have worked out how we will deliver the trainings and support; we are busy writing the materials and we have a website set up (albeit a temporary one - we couldn’t wait for our web developer to get the all singing - all dancing one ready!) Whew!

Working together as a team, we inspire each other, challenge each other, support each other, and neither of us wants to be the one who lets the side down, so we both get on and do what we have said we are going to do.

The result - massive action and a dream turning into a reality - I love it!

The Starting Point

March 3rd, 2009

Hello and welcome to my Blog.

There’s a lot going on in my world just now, with lots of exciting developments in my businesses that I want to share with you.

So I thought I would start with giving you an update as to where I am now:

UK Property

My own Property Portfolio is growing - I just completed on another one today - and I am determined to grow it substantially over the next 18-24 months. Long term, it is my portfolio which will give me complete financial freedom, and I am not allowing the current economic climate to stop me.  On the contrary, I see this as a period of incredible opportunity for investors to “fill their boots” with bargain properties, and I intend to make the most of it, despite the best efforts of the banks to thwart us - more on this later! (That post may need a warning against it - aarrgh!)

At the same time, I continue to work with my panel of investors, for whom I source investment properties, to help them to do the same.  My personal goal for them is to help 10 of them reach a £1million portfolio over the next 12 months.

Wealth Strategies for Women

So excited about this!  I have been thinking about this concept for the last couple of years now, and have finally got to a point where it has become a reality.  I have joined forces with my friend and business partner in this, Edwina Silver, and things are now moving fast.

I am passionate about what we are doing with this company, it’s incredibly important to me that we get this out where it is needed as soon as possible.  We have set ourselves some challenging targets, but we are both up to it.  The official Launch Date is set for 1st May 2009, so watch this space.

9inth Element Coaching & Training

This is the coaching company I first established when I started coaching.  This business is now undergoing a transformation, and is developing into a much better business model, and something much bigger than I had originally envisaged.

By creating coaching products and programmes, and utilising the specialist skills of other coaches, we can make the benefits of the coaching process available to so many more people, relative to their specific needs.  This is building as I find the right coaches to team up with, and create the programmes.

So, they are the 3 main projects I have on the go at the moment, there are others which are ticking over, but these 3 are the ones I feel will challenge me the most over the next 6 months.  I’ll keep you posted on the journey, the challenges, and how I deal with them to make the progress I want to.  Please do give me your comments, and if you catch me shirking - challenge me!
